The Garudas

Garudas, one of the mystical creatures in the legends. Picture were taken at the Grand Palace, Bangkok.

Lily  flower were plenty in the palace compound.

SLIDE BATU

Nak panggil papan lungsur, ia dibina daripada batu. Maka dipanggil slide batu.

There are a few huge 'slide batu' around Taiping Lake Garden. I still remember when I was small at one time I called the Lake Garden as 'Bilik Garden', hehe. It was our favourite spot on weekends. The very slide in the picture was already there since I can remember things. Revisiting the slide with my nieces and nephews brought my thoughts to the good old days in the 80's, when outdoor activities were more preferred over video games.

The slide looks old and aged, with rusty metal staircases and its surface were also not as smooth as I used to remember.

It's New Year's Day today, the first day of 2010. I don't have the new year's eve fireworks pictures. Just some random pictures from my folders...

Aidil Adha menjelma dua minggu selepas pemergian Abah. Seusai solat sunat Idil Adha, kami ke pusara abah.

Seekor lembu dikorbankan keluarga kami untuk sempurnakan hajat abah; 7 panggu atas nama 7 orang cucunya. Sebanyak 8 ekor lembu dikorbankan oleh ahli qaryah Masjid Al Falah tahun ini.
